Portone Pictures is an independent film company founded in Pennsylvania, focused on developing & producing compelling stories with emotional weight & cinematic flair. From original short films & feature-length scripts to limited series & sitcoms, we collaborate with writers & directors who care about craft on projects of all scopes & sizes. Whether a story is ready to shoot or just taking shape, we’re here to create work that captivates & resonates.
Currently based out of Lancaster, PA with affiliates in Los Angeles & Atlanta, we have a handful of projects already in circulation & a long slate of incredible stories in development that we can’t wait to share with audiences. Michael Kelly
Founder / Director / Producer
Michael is a filmmaker & producer extraordinaire based in Lancaster, PA.
Combining more than a decade’s worth of production experience, team management skills & marketing savvy with a passion for all aspects of the filmmaking process, a secret desire to be a DP & a deep love of spreadsheets, Michael is a jack of all trades & master of most. In late 2023, he moved producing a feature film from his bucket list to his to-do list & Portone Pictures was born.
Creighton Smith
Director / Writer / Editor
Creighton is a writer, director & editor (in that order) based in Los Angeles.
Combining a lifelong love of movies & a BFA in creative writing he hopes to one day pay for, Creighton moved to LA in 2022 to gain onset experience. Creighton reconnected with Michael on a trip home to PA in 2023 & began collaborating with him shortly thereafter. Two short films, three feature scripts & a couple dozen or so commercials later, the pair have been cranking out content ever since.
