Based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, with affiliate relationships in Los Angeles and Atlanta and a production network across Pennsylvania, the Mid-Atlantic, and the Northeast. We build locally where it makes sense and travel when the work requires it.
Michael Kelly
Michael Kelly is a producer, director, and creative strategist based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. His work spans independent film, branded content, commercial production, and regional film infrastructure. Through Portone Pictures, he develops original films and series while partnering with brands, agencies, nonprofits, and creative organizations on screen-based work.
His background combines producing, directing, cinematography, operations, marketing, and team leadership. That mix shapes how Portone works: creative ambition tied to practical production, audience awareness, and clear execution.
Creighton Smith
Creighton Smith is a writer, director, and editor based in Los Angeles and a longtime Portone collaborator. He has written and directed multiple short films and feature scripts under the Portone banner and has edited and contributed to commercial productions for brand and agency partners. His work moves between psychological drama, dark comedy, and character-driven genre work.

Michael Kelly
Michael Kelly has been working in production for over seven years — across podcast content, commercial video, brand development, and original screen work. He founded Portone Pictures to bring the full range of that experience to a single, focused practice.
Before Portone, Michael produced video podcasts on location across the country for major university athletic programs and their top NIL recruits — building repeatable content systems in high-pressure environments with demanding schedules and national audiences.
He then joined Kinectiv, where he ran the video department and served simultaneously as Business Development Director — building the commercial production capability while managing client relationships and growing the business side of the operation. That dual role, spanning creative execution and business development, is what makes the Portone approach distinct: the work is always made with an eye on what it needs to do.
Before founding Portone Pictures full-time, Michael came off active production credits — serving as Production Manager on a short film and Location Manager on a feature film — maintaining real boots-on-the-ground experience rather than stepping away from the craft to run a company.
